Do fixers get paid an hourly wage or a flat fee? Can you get a bonus or tip if you land an awesome interview or inside information somehow? Also, is the wage based on the local economy or the US economy? (If that makes sense... not sure what a “living” wage is in Thailand compared to the US but I would imagine it is less. Hopefully that isn’t an offensive thing to say.)

In regards to your second question:

An aircraft isn't like a big rig truck. You have to purchase it, hire pilots, hire mechanics or outsource that, have at least one employee to keep track of records, have a stockpile of spare/consumable parts for replacements that can easily cost over a million dollars for a large jet, regularly perform time based maintenance items even if you aren't flying it, plus selling the aircraft when you are done can be nearly impossible. An aircraft that can carry the larger items they are talking about (cars/satellites/elephants) means that all of those costs are a lot higher than a smaller aircraft.

TLDR: Someone else can likely do it cheaper since the overhead costs for operating an aircraft are so large.

It is possible he signed a business contract including a non-disclosure agreement. If that is the case, it is a personal reason why he can’t share, not so much a legal reason directly related to the murderer.
