This reminds me of the parable of the old cow.

In a gist, an old man had only a cow in his life, that provided him with milk to drink and exchange for food. It was all he had. One day, a guy came and saw how miserable his life was because he depended so much on so little, and killed the cow. The man went into survival mode and butchered the cow to exchange for seeds and vegetables, which he planted in his garden. After some effort, he ended with a big plantation and was making good money selling on the market.

Sometimes we are afraid of losing that miserable basic-income job that we hold on to it thinking it's something precious, but letting go and actually fighting to improve is an eye and mind opening experience.

Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, that confirms you are really Italian. So is my SO, and when we are traveling, she will start complaining about the bad coffee by the time we get to the airport 😄
