What can digital security companies do to protect themselves from government intervention (vis a vis Lavabit) that effectively nullifies their technology? Does the media attention over PRISM, Snowden, NSA, SOPA, PIPA, etc mark the twilight for a new age in digital security, or should brave companies wait out the internet privacy media attention for fear of getting shuttered like lavabit?
