What do you think the role of animal welfare plays in longetermism? That is, at the moment factory farmed animal outnumber people in civilization by significant factor (maybe 1 to 5? not including fish). Even if alternative meat/milk/eggs would become main stream and reduce factory farms by an order of magnitude, there might still be a huge number of animals being exploited, also in the far future. IS this something we should think about? (I feel that usually when discussing longtermism people ignore non-human animals).
