I've been freelancing in the last year and have done topless, art nudes, lingerie, and alternative modeling (I am a ballet dancer so a blend between ballet and fashion). My question is around coaching versus posing practice - do you have a series of movements, expressions, etc. that you work through on the set, do you rely on art director or photographer coaching, and did that ratio change over time in your career?

Thanks! I remember from Cameron Russell's TED talk that most obvious looking movements (e.g., walking) are just faked in front of the camera. It's annoying when a photographer is like, "Touch yourself," (meaning hands in hair or on my hip or touching my neck or décolletage) or "Roll about on the bed." Do you recommend practice with a mirror, or ever have a mirror on set to confirm lighting/angles?
