My guess is this is marketing. There's a strategy that sellers use sometimes, where they make 2 objects appear to be close in price and your brain considers the more expensive option the better "deal" so you purchase that, even if it has features you don't want. If, for instance, they priced the 5x at $329, they probably lose some sales of the 6P to the 5X. But the way they did it, they probably gained a lot of sales of the 6p from people who really would have been just fine with a 5x, but now feel it's "only" $70 more for all this great stuff....
