As a fellow artist, I gotta ask: were your parents supportive of you, or did this lead to an "I told you so" accomplishment by proving them wrong about your career as an artist?

This is amazing. I always heard it was super painful but after reading this, I'm going to send in my kit I've had sitting around for awhile. Thanks for sharing!
