I recently watched this excellent video. What is your view of free will?

"...damage his administration's chances of winning its appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals." (regarding Trump's tweets) - Shouldn't there be a concern about judicial actions driven by non-judicial issues?

Except that isn't quite the idiocy that I'm trying to illuminate here. Here we have a journalist writer that clearly recognizes something that is newsworthy in a truly philosophical and political sense but instead the focus of his entire commentary is on the more "entertaining" aspect.

It's almost as though he's not a journalist.

Edit: A cursory review of John has revealed he is not a journalist. It seems the most accurate way to describe his profession is to distill it down to a factual statement of what he does: write.

I respectfully disagree. There are no major differences between the example I gave and what John said. There's nothing in my comment that supports your claim that I'm no better, unless of course you fail basic reading comprehension and take my example as an actual statement. I doubt you're that stupid. The great irony here is that THIS comment is closer to acting like John than my previous one.

"...they aren't all just racist deplorables." (referencing Trump voters) - This is not how you appeal to anyone and is most likely exactly the reason Trump was elected in the first place. I would say this is a backhanded compliment but it lacks the compliment requirement of that claim.

This is akin to someone saying "Let me try to speak your language John, after all, you aren't just a smug moron."

We aren't going to make much progress when mouthpieces like you continue the failed approaches that facilitated the current dynamic. Glad you were joking about running for office.
