I live in TX. Once a group of our most predominant 1% ers came into a bar and you could tell something was up, maybe they were looking for someone, who knows. We sent a pitcher to their table just to show respect. Once one of them came over and thanked us and asked if we needed anything. I just asked him if shit was going to go down, I'd prefer not to be sitting here when it did. He said no problem, about an hour or so later he tapped me on the shoulder and told me it was getting late that we might want to hit the road. I appreciated that. Is that sort of thing generally accepted as kindness? I don't want to piss anyone off.

I have a thick East Texas accent and I've just decided to roll with it. Who the hell wants to sound like everyone else. People seem to find it entertaining and endearing. I have a high IQ and a degree from a decent private university and people are astonished after they talk to me for a while and figure out I'm not a bumpkin. I do enjoy some rural activities for example I'm currently sitting in my deer stand hoping some freezer meat walks out. Embrace your culture and enjoy others with different cultures than yourself, it makes life interesting.

As an East Texan, I fucking loved Bernie. You got East Texas like no one I have ever seen. Nailed it! I read a review that the people were overly dramatic and over acting. Bullshit, it think it was perfect! One of my favorite all time movies. Did you have to take a lot of flack from critics about this issue?
