I was a crossing guard in elementary school too. Being a young person, given the responsibility with a badge etc. I took it VERY seriously. I felt like I was being trusted to do the right things. One morning I was guarding an entrance to the bus loop where kids walk.. cars weren't allowed. A car whipped in and started going between the cones.. I held up my hand for them to stop and the "deputy" that was the crosswalk officer yelled at me to get out of the way because it was her husband.

That was my first very young and conflicted lesson of corruption.

Are you trying to ruin him?

For what it's worth I reported the incident to our "Captain" which was just the schools coach. You can imagine what he did about it.

I think karma got her.. about a month later a little dog got run over right next to her crosswalk. It was yelping and flopping around and she tried to pick it up.. it mauled her pretty well before she could get loose from it.

Edit: having grown up around animals this was further evidence to me that the woman was a moron

Yes.. The pup was ok. It had a broken leg but its owners came and got it and took it to the vet.

That's very fucked up. You should have had an older brother to kick his moron ass.
