i always found the claim that you're a scientist after maybe 2-3 years in a research assistant position pretty funny
it'd be like a squire in the middle ages calling themselves a warrior. i mean, technically they're in the battlefield, but they're not exactly what you think of when you say the word.
or a scipt kiddie calling themselves a hacker.
same for a research tech. i mean...technically yes you're actively involved in a scientific endeavor, but it feels more like scientist-in-training than someone with significant and involved expertise, which the word scientist seems to imply.
i guess it all depends on how you interpret the word "scientist"
if you define a scientist as a person who performs the scientific method in their occupation, i guess you are a scientist.
i'm sorry if i'm coming off as a jerk or something, i'm actually being sincere in this post

i really liked your slim dungarees. it's hardly ever rained in san diego though so i never got a good chance to test out the water resistance outside.
anyway, question time: do you have any information on the hydrostatic head on some of your clothes (slim dungarees/climbers/supermarine shell specifically)? i know you're not selling like mountaineering equipment, but it's nice to know extra stuff about the clothes you own.
