Maybe some kind of limit on the number of active players on the mission? Once you have 10 people spawn for it locks out.
Other missions could be created using a similar idea. Ex: a mission to blow up a fuel depot with explosives, destroy radio equipment, ect. Basically some thing for para troopers or those brave enough to be driven behind the lines a good distance to do.

What about adding AI controlled trains, truck traffic, and convoys tied to supply?
They would make great targets for the air and navy guys.
Some of this stuff may have actually been implemented in an early beta. I recall in one beta actually seeing a submarine (I may have a screen of this to) and some of the ai convoy stuff was planned to allow the submarine players to attack.
They scrapped the submarine idea though because of the unrealistic travel times and having to model an entire underwater environment.

I was an original beta tester for the game and still pop in to play on occasion.
Are there any plans to add in some of the large complex underground bunkers that were in the original beta? I still have screen shots of them from back in like 2001.
What about adding some "behind the lines" missions? You have all these towns not being used for anything away from the front. For example a file cabinet that spawns a few towns back. A player can bump into the cabinet for a certain amount of time and "steal" the documents. If they can RTB with them then the documents are captured. Maybe have this effect RDP.
