I was thinking the same thing when I was reading OP's post. Salvia. I saw matter around me breaking down into networks of energy exchange, something I was connected to, a kind of fluid mechanics that I've always remembered.

Holy shit, that's awesome. It definitely has an 80s sound, but is surprisingly weird and complex and 'modern' for 1981 - and the vocal style is VERY David Bowie / Adrian Belew. I really wish Rdio had some of their albums.
