Drooling at surplus EV batteries for PV storage yet?

We get about 800W out of our 3kW array in the worst of times in winter. Running a MTTP charge controller yet? They do a better job scraping low power out of lower sun situations.

Then it’s just a math problem of how much solar you need for the worst of times.

Any option for a tower and wind above the trees?

Want to know how Canada did it? We nationalized the hospitals in the 70’s. That’s right, the government owns hospitals and insurance. That means you don’t have 16 layers of investors making a profit margin or advertising costs. This adds up. Canada averages $4600 (USD) per person to cover everybody. America is spending $9700 (USD) per person and many fall through the cracks. Because we bill out an aspirin at $0.45 instead of $76.00.

We do have tons of private clinics for small issues. They run under strict cost controls.

You can argue about quality of care, but knowing cancer won’t take away my house and kids education fund means less stress and quicker recoveries. Your average Canadian also lives 3 years longer, so that says something.

I am an independent mechanic and spent 8 years doing pre purchase inspections for used cars, paid by the customer making the purchase.

I found only one car in 8 years that did not have any hidden defects. ONE CAR.

Pay YOUR mechanic $100-$150 for a solid inspection and his opinion on that car. If he doesn't put it on a hoist and rip all 4 wheels off, or fails to give you a 150 or so point checklist with his signature on it, walk away.

He'll also know if those models are kinda crappy or worth buying. Use said inspection report to haggle the price or have said issues resolved. I have never ever had a customer who regretted doing that. Especially the one with the mythical perfect used car.

Rescue release seals are super friendly, I got a good cuddle and belly stroking session with one after letting him hunt using my dive lights at night. You poke your light around the rocks and the seal gets to hunt sleeping fish with the beam.
