No it isn't. You can be pro gun and pro background check. EVERYONE should be pro background check (and most are).

It just astonishes me that kids are openly gay now in high school. I went to a predominantly white suburban high school, and kids still didn't come out (early 90's). Especially in a low income black high school like that, considering homosexuality is still not widely accepted in black culture.

Cho only passed those checks because he record was missing from the NICS system, due to poor reporting by the state of VA. Virginia has now made a lot of improvements to reporting their records but it's not something that has been done across the country.
