If you are concerned about discomfort, healing time, want something fully reversible, and you aren't paying for it --look into implantable contacts. My eyes are at the same crapiness as yours and I've worn contacts/glasses for 15+ years and I've been hesitent to commit to PRK or LASIK, but after talking to a few people that had implantable lenses (just what it sounds like, they make an incision in your eye and slip in a lens, flap heals, end) I'd have it done in a heartbeat. Only downside (I know of) is that its more expensive, I think around 3k per eye, but if your mother is willing then go for it.

Haha. Thanks. I had to look up what a SEGA Pico is and that looks brutal. I'm curious to know that after your 4 days of button tapping research, did it work everytime?
