I imagine much is lost in translation from classic texts, even careful dissection of word-meanings will surely not prove as enlightening as hearing it in its original language.

Perhaps this is just because of how the media portrays them, but it seems to me that people from Asian or eastern cultures are more aware of honor and duty than us in the west, and so the laws of power are more applicable to their ways of life.

Do you see a struggle in applying classic rules of power to a modern, individual-centric society?

I greatly enjoy your books, especially the fact that you draw on such a variety of historical sources. Do you make a conscious effort to use Chinese and eastern histories, or is this simply a product of your own interests?
