Let's not even get into the "renewable" burning of wood pellets in Europe.
Well burning wood pellets is carbon neutral and it comes from trees which are renewable.
Germany's emissions have increased, they're burning coal to offset nuclear shutdown. And renewables are completely unreliable and not baseline power.
Look at their total carbon footprint though. Even with the increase it is still very low.

Agreed. I don't think its good. But Germany is much more carbon neutral than most countries. And in the long run it could work and be neutral. Better than digging up fossil fuels and burning them. Also 75 years is probably a bit much. 10-20 years is pretty standard for tress used for paper so I would assume it would be similar for the trees Germany is burning.

Have you seen the movie To End All Wars? If so is this movie similar to your experiences in the POW camp? Thank you for sharing your experiences.

What role do you think 3D printing may have in the process of in-space manufacturing? Do we have a way to use a 3D printer in a weightless environment? Do you know what technologies still need to be discovered/perfected in order for this to be possible?
