Do you perceive the irony of xenophobically insulting a man about his supposed lack of openness to the world in his third(?) language as he attempts to show himself to the world to dissuade your fear?

There are some very big problems with communication to/from Antarctica. For example, there aren't any undersea cables so everything goes over satellite, and at some latitudes there aren't really any comms satellites. They've been trying to use decommissioned military satellites, but there just isn't that much bandwidth: at peak, there's maybe 50 Mbps down for the entire continent.
