Hello Sandy, thanks for doing an AMA! I'm part of a small Indie Game Dev group. We're in the process of making our first game. We even decided to try to give kickstarter and greenlight a try.

My questions to you are:

1) when did you know you wanted to be in the gaming industry

2) how did you make your way into the field

3) Is there any wisdom you could bestow upon my group?

Thank you in advance!

What is your voice like? Can you still hit some pretty high notes? One thing that might be pretty cool is to compose a sentence, record your voice as it is now, and then periodically record yourself saying the same sentence, then at some point go back and listen to the recordings to see how much your voice has changed (if it changes).

Good luck op on your journey! Hope the treatments go well for you!

Backed into it by accident? thats awesome lol!!! I've wanted to get into it for a long time now and am trying to force my way into it lol.

As for the kickstarter, it's definitely been crazier than I anticipated. We built up to it for MONTHS. Made it better, had a writer look at it, had some marketing people look at it, all trying to make it as good as it possibly could be. When we launched, we still felt it could be better but then wasn't sure what we wanted to do with it and it was like, trying to find the perfect balance between "perfect" and "taking too long" was difficult. We've recently noticed that our main problem being a startup is driving numbers to it. We've tried posting in various places and we're amping up to send out press kits, but trying to get people to go to it is a LOT more difficult than we expected. I'm fully prepared for whatever outcome we have with our kickstarter, I like to take everything in life as a chance to learn. This game we're working on will get made with our without it, just, if we don't get funded then we'll just have to go about it differently is all! Thank you for your reply!!!
