How nice to "run into" another Danish fellow! I still need to serve my military service sooner or later (no. 150 in the lottery) and I'm really considering signing a contract with the navy, in order to have an influence on where I get to go.

What really attracts me about the navy, is that you get to go to Greenland and/or Faroe Islands as part of your training. What are your best memories from these places?

Another thing: Seeing that you've sailed with the Ivar Huitfeldt-class. How was your interaction with the helicopter crew? And do you have a standpoint on the Danish air force's purchase of the Seahawk Helicopter above the AugustaWestland Wildcat (AW159) that is based on the current helicopter, Lynx?

And just to make a slight correction: The emergency management service has now been increased to 9 months following the 2014 defence settlement that decreases the amount of military servants but increases time.

Hi! So thrilled you're doing this AMA, thanks a lot. My question: seeing the Blackbird was basically developed as a result of the U-2 shoot down, how was the relationship between the pilots of the two aircrafts? And did someone ever make the transition, how did that go?
