Is it true if you shout 'Andy is coming' to toy story characters they fall on the floor and not move?

Last question. I am not sure if this is luck or some sorcery... When I was little, I wished for Pluto to show up. I head banging noises like loud foot steps, I look behind me Pluto is right there.... Thing is he was not anywhere around the area if I remember correctly.
