Speed is both an amphetamine and a stimulant. Very similar to prescription stimulants like Dexadrine and Adderall.

My apologies for my rude comment. I missed the part about the brain stopping your breathing which is very different than normal sleep apnea. Living with any sleep disorder is an everyday battle. Provigil is the best medication I have found so far. It is also the most expensive. I hope you can find a combination that makes your disorder manageable. Best of luck.

Sleep apnea isn't really that rare. I have narcolepsy. I'd say that's worse. At least you can remedy your condition with a machine.
