At restaurants like that, is it better to pretend you know how to eat the food or to ask a lot of questions about how to eat the food? Does everyone else there know how to eat that food?

This entire thread is giving me a bit more faith in people’s ability to use critical thinking. Yeah, the video your friend posted on Facebook about the guy hugging his family goodbye at the airport while escorted by ICE gets you right in the gut. He also made a lot of decisions to get to that point.

America still supports immigration. And we have sympathy for illegal immigrants. But we have laws and after reading this thread it seems like we don’t appreciate those like you who decide to not follow them and then act like we’re the assholes.

I actually cannot believe it. If that's true, sounds like you put your family at risk for homelessness just to make some sort of stand against legally deporting those here illegally.
