What kind of court is this trial in? Is it one of those military tribunals? If so, how is it different in practice from a traditional civilian court?

I can despise 2 things at once. I despise what's happening to the Uighurs in China. It is a genocide. I can also despise the long history of religious chauvinism, human rights violations like throwing gay people off roofs to their death or attacking vulnerable minority non-Muslim populations, stoning, 16th century notions of religious conquest that accompany Islamic populations. Can you disclaim that behavior too? Or is it only one way?
