I've thought for years that the failures of the CHA, CPS, and CPD leading up to the demise of Cabrini Green and the surrounding CHA buildings was a prime mover in the increase in violence on the south and west sides as I assume many of the displaced relocated there.

Any thoughts? Has anyone done any sort of epidemiological study investigating how and where crime in the city has moved in the last 30 years?

How has destabilizing larger organized gangs' power structure changed enforcement strategy? How can we effectively fight gang violence in light of modern gang-segmentation in a Set oriented structure with decentralized power?

persistent room chat ( Group Chat in 2010 ) is an intensely important for the environment i work in. it is not currently ideal as we're running Lync 2010 and Group Chat 2010 as separate applications, with Tabbed Conversations for Lync. this is cumbersome but we have been running this setup with success and relatively few issues for about two years.

i've tried the 2013 client and its rooms functionality is an enormous step backward for this use case. will there be a new release of Group Chat or a unified client that mimics how MindAlign worked?

Also, any way to get Lync 2010 to cleanly exit on machine shutdown/logoff? It frequently locks up winlogon service and prevents a clean shutdown, leading to profile and ntuser.dat issues.

i don't know if you'll remember the show, but a few years ago at Northwestern University's Dillo Days you guys headlined after a bunch of other bands, including Blackalicious with Zack de la Rocha and Robert Randolph and the Family Band, and others.

this isn't a complaint really, but i thought the show felt really phoned in and as i was a fan at the time (it was a few years after Vegas and just after Tweekend came out) i came away pretty disappointed.

i've enjoyed a lot of your music and i can understand if you don't remember the show itself. i can also understand that you may have had a rigorous tour schedule and there are plenty of personal things that could be going on, and on and on. i just wanted to let you know that one performance put me off and that live shows are important to me, and i assume, others.

thanks for making music i've enjoyed a lot!
