So, I saw you in NJ last year and caught one of your towels. I'd like to know what you secrete that makes your sweat so alluring to cats. Why am I asking this? Because I brought that sweat towel home and my cats started beating the SHIT out of each other to "own" your sweat towel.

Also, you rock!

edit Holy fuck, that show was in 2012. I am losing my mind. Here's a pic from where I stood!

I feel ya, dude. The nickname of my disorder is "The Suicide Disease' (Trigeminal Neuralgia) and the only thing keeping me from living up to the name is having a sense of humor about it. hugs

EDIT: I love answering questions about my disorder, but I have to go to bed. Monday comes quickly, and a new work week comes with it. Remember this the next time you see someone: Though they might look healthy enough, they could be just like me. A lady who writhes in agony hiding it from everyone in public because it makes them uncomfortable. Invisible illnesses exist, and the more I can bring light to them, the better I feel.

return of the edit: Some folks have PM'd me about this, so I'll do an AMA if enough people want to know about this shit. I have to go to bed for now!

I also run /r/chronicpain for those of us stuck like this. Malfunctioning bodies make our lives a bit more complicated than normal folks. Having to work around your flare-ups, the anxiety and depression of knowing you're fucked for life... not too many people understand that deep despair that accompanies life with a disorder like this.

Having folks around who understand really helps. We openly welcome all with pain who have seen doctors and aren't just looking for medical advice. No quack science either.

This is why I created /r/helpit years ago... to get a pool of people with skills together for folks who need specific skills for their non-profits! It just never took off outside of the first day I created it :(

Thank you for providing young ladies like me with a fully-clothed female role model in the sci-fi world. Back in the 90's, I'd sit down with mom and dad every Sunday night to watch X-Files on FOX. I have great memories of these times, and have you and the rest of the folks in that show to thank for it. You rock!
