Do you think that any significant changes in music production will happen in the near future, and if so, how do you think they will affect how music is made?

How do you guys go about your FM synthesis techniques? i.e.: How many oscillators do you guys typically use for your bass sounds? I'm sure you guys layer/resample the living crap out of your sounds.
