How much does it matter if I attended Title I Elementary/Middle schools as a first generation college student, but from a fairly high-income family?

I am not financially disadvantaged by any means, but I was not able to receive the insight from parents, and wasn't able to learn how to appear to be appealing to colleges until very late.
