Have you ever had to work on someone who is taking buprenorphine as a maintenance therapy for opiate addiction?

Absolutely! I had to have my wisdom teeth removed while I was taking a maintenance dose of 8mg buprenorphine. I had it done in a hospital under general anaesthesia, had to be intubated and all that jazz. It was NOT a good time. I also got treated pretty poorly because I was an addict, I think. :(
