40+ year subscriber to The Economist. Data journalism, like the daily charts, is one of its best features. Love the Big Mac Index. Is there an issue with the app version of The Economist that makes it difficult to include all the charts? Does your election forecast appear in the app? If so, I missed it.

Also, it appears that the Economist prefers folks with subject expertise (and maybe a quirky sense of humor) who can write versus journalist majors. Per Linkedin, you fit that description. Is my perspective about The Economist hiring practices correct?

You’re doing a terrific job. Thank you.

An example of the quirky humor of The Economist was the caption of a photo of Idi Amin looking over a group of people bowing at his feet, "Idi Amim contemplating lunch."

It’s not a guess and, by your apparent criteria, none of the states is blue or red, yet.

I'm no genius or nonconformist, but many of my bosses and peers said they liked working with me because I was an "out of the box thinker." That seemed odd. It always felt like they were the ones outside the box - like why could they not see the obvious? The interesting challenge was figuring out how to bring them in.

None of the states are officially called yet. Some not covered are actually behind Georgia in their count but, because it’s not close in those states, the projections are not getting much coverage. California, for example, is only 87% done counting but was projected for Biden long ago because he is getting 64% of the vote.
