Do teachers go through any kind of vetting process for legitimacy? Because I uh run a small day-care or whatever and my kids could really use a ride to the uh museum.

Have you/would you consider requests for like, payroll related funds? Materials, equipment and field trips are great and all, but there are plenty of districts cutting programs that should absolutely be considered essential, usually courses in the arts, due to lack of available money for teacher salary.

Admittedly this would require a lot more interaction with the school administration, so it might be a scope you all aren't prepared for, but before a teacher can go the extra mile for their students with the opportunities you provide they have to be able to take a step through the door, you know?
