Not OP, but also an Ordained Minister. This isn't so much a religious issue as it is a communication issue. If you want to go to church this year, tell her you want to go to church. Don't make it about her. It sounds like she thinks you don't want to go. Another option is to inform her you are going and ask if she wants to go with you.
