For some reason, the hair on the back of your head tends to be naturally much more resistant to DHT (the main baldness hormone) than the hair on top of your head. It's why dudes who are super bald on top usually still have hair on the back and sides of their head. Those hair follicles keep their special resistance even after they're transplanted. So you might continue losing your original hair over time, but the transplanted hair generally stays put.
I don't know if anyone knows why some hair is more resistant to baldness than other hair. It just is.

In the US you'll probably be paying closer to 3x more than Turkey, not 10x. Maybe estimate $10k for a US hair transplant. It could be more or less depending on the clinic and the number of grafts you need.
I've heard the quality in Turkey can be inconsistent. Some clinics are apparently excellent, but others are so called "hair mills" where your results might not be what you're looking for. And of course, not all US clinics are perfect either.
You also have to consider convenience. There's a big difference between getting it done in your local city, vs a 12 hour flight (each way) to a foreign country where you'll be recovering in some hotel room.
