Former florist here, unfortunately there are no real "standard flowers," it's almost like asking what are the only kinds of paint to use - there are things we correlate, but they change from ethnicities, regions, and preference.

That being said, the best thing you can do is give a florist her:

• General style - is she bohemian, corporate, trendy, modernist, etc. This gives them a good idea of the type of arrangement to form

• Favorite color - there are only so many orange flowers for instance, but I wouldn't send orange gerber daisies to a lawyer's office for example.

• The occasion - basically, the bigger the occasion, the larger the arrangement. Are you proposing? Is someone in the hospital? Is it a birthday or an anniversary?

Any good florist can take these pieces of information with a price point ($35 to $100+) and create the perfect arrangement.

If in a vacuum, particles can pop into existence, aren't these particles coming from somewhere? Some field/dimension/subatomic level etc? And if so, how is that nothing?

As much as I appreciate philosophy, I'm trying to understand the physics of it. From the Kierkegaard quote, my focus isn't the imagining of it, I can trace my genetics back, even the particles of me and everything in this world can be traced backwards, but this vacuum that emits particles, where can they be traced?

You're avoiding any dietary or other treatments because of a 20% survival rate? You know that's 1 in 5 right? Not 1 in 5,000,000.

I guess my question still applies a bit though. If it is an emergent property of space/time, it seems to imply that there is some catalyst or substructure (semantics seem to fail here for me), as the word emergence tends to define an event/property/constant that comes out of seemingly unrelated parts.

If anyone can clarify, that would be great. :)
