But from what I've seen, once they hit a certain point, it happens quickly.

In your experience, what point is that?

My mom is 65 and has early onset alzheimers that really began/was diagnose-able about 7.5 years ago. My dad passed earlier this year from prostate cancer, and we moved my mom to a very nice facility about 5 minutes from my office so I can see her a few times a week.

She's still mobile, but obviously doesn't remember things from even earlier in the day. She knows that she used to be smarter and have a better memory, and asks what happened to her. I know each situation is different, but what markers tell you that the end is imminent?

The only experience we have with alzheimers is my grandmother, who passed a couple months after my dad did. She thought she was living in 1945-ish and passed more from old age than anything else.

I noticed just the other day that Appleton 12-Year-Old is only like 30 bucks.

Shhhhh, don't turn bourbon people onto rum, it'll ruin the good thing we got going!

Move to Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, NYC, or any of the progressive places in the US. It's mind blowing how much acceptance and support there is after living in a conservative social environment. The support isn't just for people who aren't exclusively heterosexual, there are people from all walks of life doing their thing and celebrating it.

Because, as the genetic father of a child, you are partially responsible (in the eyes of the law) for the existence of that child and contributing, at least in theory, to the support of that child.

This question might be more properly addressed to Independent Stave Co. If you're on the Bourbon trail and don't take a tour of Independent Stave, you're missing out!
