As a fan since the very very start of the show, I miss that. If you've got the original episodes - you can see interesting stuff where they actually wander scrap yards looking for stuff, explain some more of the science of what they are doing, they show more welding, cutting, and smaller issues. I found them great.

That being said, I liked the new guys when they came in later on too - a lot. The real issue is the editing for the ADD / idiot audience who watch it now, example cutting to commercial then repeating the last 5 minutes in a 60 second summary, over and over again - they re-explain stuff about 4 times. Lots of filler (a lot of US tv is like that)

I miss the earlier seasons, it was some pretty amazing stuff.

That's right Tori, keep the secrets of immortality to yourself, no doubt it has something to do with stroking the mustache of a norse god!!! EDIT: Tory, sorry.

Tori, according to IMDB, you're in your mid 40's, what is the secret to your not aging? Also, are you going on any more driving tours with deadmau5 any time soon? I got the impression from twitter you kind of really loved the hell out of it.

It seems to me that this is the best answer we're going to get out of this, no one really knows except those within Discovery and the cast.

Cost reductions, pay dispute, combination of both? Maybe dwindling viewers, we'll never know the actual true reason. I still maintain it was handled so goddamn poorly in that final episode where it was announced. No 'real' goodbye which feels like it was on fairly poor terms.

Good luck :/

EDIT: I did notice below that Kari said "Adam and Jamie wanted a new direction" not "Discovery" - which is an interesting comment...
