It's really easy to research religious history. They all steal from each other and the weight of deities is flimsy.

They made discoveries because nearly everyone was christian in Europe. If Christianity never grew it would probably just be a derivative of paganists upholding science.

The Jewish god is borrowed from the ancient canaanites(Yahweh and El). Religions are literally derivatives of each other. Even non related religions borrow rituals. Like Catholics have the rosary but Hindus and Buddhists have been meditating with prayer beads hundreds of years before the Virgin Mary gave Catholics the rosary. But they made up some myth about it anyway about it being special.

How the heck is anyone motivated to invent something at 13? My parents would've just shut me down...
