Can we stay focused on the movie here, guys?

Fucking blows my mind seeing handguns rolling around centre consoles in r/justrolledintotheshop or, worse, seeing my buddy in the US store his, loaded, on top of the fridge.

I've never had to ice somebody for walking into my house, and you can bet I'll be getting value out of the part of my taxes that pays for policing before I trust my shitty handgun skills to keep my family safe.

Edit: rather than replying to everyone individually, I'm not in the US, ownership of guns for self defense is illegal here, I own 3 guns for target shooting and am not "ignorant" about their operation, and violent crime here is super rare. I thank you for pointing out all the dictatorial things that widespread gun ownership has completely prevented in the US, like gerrymandering, widespread vote suppression, and police violence against minorities. Thanks for educating the rest of the world on what democracy means, namely guns. I have kids and I don't keep guns accessible partially because that's completely illegal, and partially because on the balance, it's way safer not having them lying around.

Yup, you get charged no matter what. I initially thought I was getting one to protect my family and later learned that I was getting it only for target shooting.

Pretty sure the cops show up faster when you tell them you've got somebody at gunpoint. As much as they suck here at dealing with bike theft etc, they do show up fast for a B&E in progress.

I'll be honest, I'm kinda regretting voting for him now
