Then the money you "made" by renting it to the company becomes taxable on your personal taxes. Either way, both outcomes are exactly the same. Either the LLC reports the net profit and flows to you through K-1, or you get to report it on your Schedule E.

THen you say, you wouldnt have reported it on your personal anyways. Then why even bother "renting" to the company? Just take the money and report it as an expense on the LLC
