Why should long-time Democrats vote for a candidate who was not a member of the party until he decided he wanted to be president?

"Failure to operate in good faith" isn't an element of the crime. The fact that he did not necessarily act maliciously or directly cause the school district harm would be an element in sentencing, not guilt. His initial sentence included no jail time.

Is building a 50-state party that elects Democrats to Congress to get progressive legislation passed "meritorious"?

How should I feel about a presidential candidate that has previously opted out of that process?
