Is surgery expected to help? I have a genetic connective tissue disorder, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. My shoulder dislocates many times a day. It was horrible pain the first couple times. Then, like you said below, you either get used to it, or the ligaments have stretched so far, there is not much resistance to cause as much pain. I am not a candidate for surgery. Because of EDS, my ligaments will continue to stretch with or with out surgery.
