Thank you for the interesting response. I had no idea that Mr. Armstrong did not wear his on the moon. But of course, Mr. Aldrin did, it is prominently visible in the famous photo of him on the moon. I wanted to buy a watch that had meaning to me personally so I bought myself an Omega Speedmaster a few years ago. It gives me a connection to the Apollo program which had immense impact on me as a young boy growing up in Canada.

There is an interesting story about how the Apollo program selected that particular chronograph. I will leave it to the readers to find that story. If you love watches or the moon program, it is an interesting piece of history. I look forward to seeing the original on display. Thank you for all your efforts.

I was wondering if the wristwatch that Mr. Armstrong wore on the moon is part of the suit, separately archived, or "missing"?
