I used to record voice actors. Union VOs don't give a shit about non-union VOs.

See, any reputable ad agency, promo house, film studio etc HAS to use SAG/AFTRA VOs. It's called being a signatory. If they want to use Union VOs, they have to use them all the time. If they get caught hiring non-union VOs, they won't be allowed to hire anyone, which means their commercials will suck.

The best VOs are all union. It's really not that hard to get into either, and isn't expensive to maintain. Also, if you are union, you can pretty much do any work you want, union or not. Doing a union gig is what allows you to make a living, get paid a living wage and not get screwed over by producers.
