... I'd not thought of it that way. I do find myself gatekeeping with nerd / geek culture sometimes lately out of frustration and I definitely need to work on it with myself. Thanks for the point of view.

How do you respond the people complaining about / hating on what they see as the increasing commercialization of faires?

My in-laws lived in Australia for a few years and when we visited she asked me to bring her a few cans of pumpkin. It's so cheap here it's sometimes hard to remember that it isn't as readily available elsewhere. But if you ever find canned pumpkin at an import store the rest of the ingredients shouldn't be hard to find or substitute.

Pumpkin pie is delicious, my toddler just asked me to make her one.

Yeah, so I have heard. But the final product of either muffin or pie or whatever is still delicious and it is still vegetable content.
