Hey Dr. Salinas, I just read that Pacific Standard story and I must say your condition is intriguing. Is the mirror-touch phenomenon restricted to humans? I mean, if you see a dog walking on hot asphalt, do you get a sensation of heat on your feet or hands? Also, can you do surgery since the patient is unconsious at the time? Thanks for doing this, it's fascinating.

I know this is really late, you likely won't see this but I had to say I'm so happy to see you creating groups for kids dealing with scary medical situations. Not just the obvious ones...I was one of those kids dealing with an illness without a diagnosis, and I wish I could have found a group like this! How do you deal with kids like that, who don't have a diagnosis but have definite medical problems?

Wow, you guys are awesome! I wish the hospital here did something like that, I would love to volunteer as a young adult who has been through all that stuff. Props to you and your team, and I hope this idea spreads.

I'm so glad to hear about a drug trial success story! I'm currently studying to be a researcher that would get these drugs from starting point to the point where they could go for FDA trials. Do you know which phase trial it was (I, II, or III)? Also as a patient, do you have a threshold for how much you want to know about a trial drug? Is it enough to say something is an antibody against protein X, would you want to know all the ins and outs of exactly how we hope it will work or is that overwhelming? Thanks!

Thanks! Struggling with grants/qualifiers/not giving up right now but it's stories like yours that make me want to push through and get that degree.
