Much like North Korea, this subject gives itself to sensationalism, but I think this is a fairly unbiased article mostly about people trying to return after escaping with mixed results. For a probably more biased, but also more engaging documentary, Vice has also done a piece on the subject of Eritrean escapees. It’s about twenty minutes long and really introduced me to the problem facing Eritreans.
