You could argue that this is part of why we war in the first place. Can you imagine if everyone had value? If every loss was mourned? I remember when the 2nd gulf war started, civilian casualties were censored. You had to read the foreign papers, because here the only deaths that mattered were American deaths.

Worth it for the term "fatberg", though.
