Tell them they wont be able to play call of duty anymore. I'm serious, too. In a way you're not lying to them because it could very-well happen. It works psychologically better, because something they value highly is going to be taken away from them for no, just reason.

How exactly does this work?

Are clients taken by walk-in, do they make an appointment, or both?

If the bill that was passed today remains and is fully implemented, the ISPs will put the a fast and slow lane on internet connections allowing them to provide internet with discrimination based on how much they are paid to prioritize the connection. That charge will then be passed down to the consumer (You and me).

This means Subscription services like Xbox LIVE and the new PSN will be forced to charge you and I more than they are already charging for the same exact service. Microsoft and Sony's online gaming are effected because they both depend on ISPs for the cables that your game connection runs on.

Not just C.o.D. but every other service on the PSN and LIVE market place will be slowed if you, the consumer, don't pay the extra money that your subscription service is asking for.

An easier way to inform your peers:

Say you become a baker, and want to bake treats to sell at a small market. Almost every recipe calls for eggs.

Your neighbor has some eggs, as a trade, you make him one treat for every egg he gives you. But your neighbor can only get Eggs from two or three different farmers, who all work together and share resources.

One day your neighbor asks you to give him three or even four free treats with every Egg he gives you as he tries to give you the eggs.

"Dear neighbor, why are you asking more of me, and what has happened to your eggs?"

"Because friend, the farmers have purposefully sickened one of the two Hen houses; one has sick chickens, and the other has healthy chickens I can only afford the sick chicken Eggs right now with what you give to me."

So, you have to think about your neighbors new proposal; Do you still use the sick chicken Eggs that are still usable, but lower the quality of your treats, thus making your Bakery less profitable for YOU, the baker.

OR do you use MORE of your other resources for the recipes of your treats to make better treats, BUT give most of them to your neighbor in exchange for Eggs, Thus STILL, making your Bakery LESS profitable for YOU, the Baker?

Eggs = internet Baker = end user of service (You and me) Farmers = ISPs Neighbor = Any data stream/download/upload subscription service such as Netflix, Xbox LIVE, HBO PSN, to the very data connection speed coming into your home.
