After reading the documents I feel the same, OP seems to be lying and/or manipulating things. Also I feel like you should add the link to the documents post to your comment since its the highest comment on the thread.

That does sound weird as to why the driver would start screaming, my guess is he probably didn't want a drunk person in his cab. But it does seem like OP is leaving some stuff out, like why would you want to turn the engine off of a cab in a foreign land? Why didn't he go after his gf immediately who was sick rather instead of putting the engine off.

I don't think there was a need for him to threaten the guy in the first place, and shouldn't have pushed him either.
